Sharing Gratitude For All the People Who Support Me On This Path – Part One
Thank you all! I wouldn't be doing this without your support.
As mentioned in a previous post, What Am I Grateful For, expressing gratitude attracts more reasons to be grateful. And I have so much gratitude to share for all the people who support me on my path. I truly appreciate each of you immensely for your attention, responses, and every moment you spend with me in this life, virtually, or in 3-D. 😊 Think of this as a love letter to each of you reading, and especially to those I specifically mention.
Starting with my Mom – the giver of my life. She is someone who has encouraged me from day one to be my true, authentic self, sometimes to her dismay! She loves me unconditionally, has always been there for me, and is an inspiration through her strength, joy that comes from within, and her ability to write to express her feelings concisely and beautifully. She has written songs, survived more health scares than she deserves, and keeps up with homemade meals for my dad and herself on the daily. I am so grateful to have such a loving and steadfast mother who I can look up to, even if she’s shorter than me! Thanks Mommy, for all you have done for me and all you continue to do.
Next, my Dad – the other contributor to my human life. Thanks Dad, for teaching me so many things that have helped me through my life, from how to change my own oil and headlights and other fun car things, to just knowing that I am smart enough to figure most things out. I appreciate the way you stay so loyal and helpful to Mom, your generosity, and I love being able to call you for just about any computer, car, or finance questions that come up. Ice cream cheers to you, Dad!
Sara, my wife, my partner, my beautiful love for life, I appreciate all that you are and all that you do for me and our little family. You are an amazing human, hard worker, go-getter, and so inspiring, especially how you run towards things that I’m afraid of or intimidated by. I am grateful to share this life with you and I know that we will continue to make fun memories and have exciting adventures. It excites me to know you and have so much to look forward to with you. I truly appreciate how you cheer me on and push me toward my dreams when I need a little, or a big, boost. I love you so much!
Genevieve, my bestie since high school! Thank you for being on this wild ride we call life with me and for all your support through epic-ly long phone calls, late nights staying up chatting, knitting, giggling, and for all the good times in Colorado and beyond. I love you to the moon and appreciate all your knowledge, your generosity, and your enthusiasm for sharing all the deep stuff you know.
Emily, my college roomie and bestie! I am so grateful for our long conversations, our hikes, our memories through some crazy times, and our deep connection. I appreciate you and your strengths, and that we can share our vulnerabilities and help each other through life. Love you!
Ian, my first subscriber! You are a gem of a human that I am grateful to know and love. I appreciate you knowing my strengths and encouraging me to use them. I’m grateful we get to work and play together in this time/space/life. Thank you for being one of the greatest travel and concert buddies I could ever ask for, as well as the world’s greatest best man!
Sara, my bestest hooping buddy ever! I appreciate all the fantastic memories we’ve created together, how you always know how to have a good time, your incredible brain and the amazing mom you have become. I am so grateful to have learned how to hula hoop alongside of you and that we’ve been able to travel and burn fire together from Colorado to Montana to Florida! I love you!
Amy, my beautiful friend! I love you and appreciate you for being true to yourself and going for what you want even when it was hard and took you away from your friends temporarily. You’ve always been there for me, only a phone call away, and you deserve the best. Super grateful for your friendship! So glad we all met in Fort Collins!!
As I’m packing and hitting the road one week from today, I realize this is not my typical newsletter, but I wanted to share in the feeling of gratitude with you all and keep you posted about my travels. I have a lot more people to be grateful for, so please don’t feel left out if you weren’t mentioned. I will have a Part 2 and likely more in this series. Sara and I will be on the road for probably 9-10 days and I will do my best to stay in touch through email and/or my social channels. Stay tuned and comment who or what you are grateful for!
I love you to the moon my Cancer wise woman! You’ve got this and I love experiencing life vicariously through the brave adventures you are so strong to do!
